“Manmade island” or “visionary development” are phrases you might hear about The Palm Dubai. The Palm Jumeirah, planned by developer Nakheel (meaning Palm in Arabic). Is one of three Palm developments planned in the city, which sits next to the Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach, making it the first sight for adventurous Dubai sky divers.
